  2 vs  4

The Giants out homered the Cubs 7-6 but were held to a .203 BA by the Cubs hurlers, while the Cubs hit .283 in the series.  The Cubs 2.89 ERA was almost 2 points better than the Giants 4.67.  While Sosa and Bonds both hit .333 and drove in 7 and 6 runs respectively.  Randy Johnson's 2 wins and 22 K's in 15 innings along with a 1.80 ERA earned him MVP honors.  It was a very exciting and tense series as the Giants put up a much better fight than either manager expected.
